Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick Endorses Bisbee Mayor David Smith for Re-Election

(Tucson, AZ) – Today, Rep. Kirkpatrick announces her endorsement of Bisbee Mayor David Smith for re-election.

David has a strong record of public service. First serving as a Marine and later as a Police Officer, he became one of the first federal government trained and certified “Improvised Explosive Device Technicians” and the first member of the Tucson Police Bomb and Arson Unit. David has served on State Boards and Commissions as well as the President of the International Association of Arson Investigators. He founded the Catalina Family Resource Center, a facility that provides medical and counseling services as well as food, clothing and child care to the underprivileged in Northern Pima County.

“Mayor David Smith has been an incredible leader and advocate for Bisbee. Over the last few years, we have seen his commitment to this great town and its residents, said Rep. Kirkpatrick. “Despite challenges with wildfires, a global pandemic and the hurdles of delivering resources to small towns, Mayor Smith has kept Bisbee not only operational, but strong.”

“He knows how to work with other leaders to fight and deliver resources and he has proved to be a transparent and accessible Mayor. As we all know, Bisbee is an Arizona treasure; it deserves a strong leader. I wholeheartedly endorse and applaud Mayor Smith for his commitment to this town and I look forward to continuing to work with him.”
