Former Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild Endorses Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick for Arizona’s Second Congressional District

(Tucson, AZ) – Today, former Mayor Jonathan Rothschild announced his endorsement of Ann Kirkpatrick to represent Arizona’s Second Congressional District.

“Ann Kirkpatrick deserves to be re-elected. Her experience and pragmatism have helped Southern Arizona grow economically and improved the lives of our citizens. I have worked alongside Ann and seen her commitment to our Veterans, to bringing additional federal funding to our educational institutions, and advocating for needed infrastructure in Southern Arizona. We are fortunate to have Ann as our Representative and I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy for another term in the United States House of Representatives,” said Rothschild.

Jonathan Rothschild served as Mayor of Tucson from 2011 to 2019. During his time in office, Rothschild led efforts to help eligible immigrants become U.S. citizens and spearheaded multiple city programs, such as the Mentor Tucson Youth program, 10,000 Trees for Tucson, and Second Chance Tucson, among many others. He was also the driving force in combating chronic homelessness for veterans by coordinating efforts to provide permanent supportive housing.

“I am so honored and grateful to have Mayor Rothschild’s endorsement. He has consistently shown that he is a champion of issues most important to Tucsonans — like immigration, education, and supporting our veterans. As Mayor, he enacted positive change in our community for nearly a decade, and I look forward to continuing working with him to advance Tucson and improve the lives of all Southern Arizonans,” said Rep. Kirkpatrick.
